Alice Chang, CPNP

Alice Chang is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Management & Society in 2003. After working in corporate America for a year, she sought a career change and returned to the good state of North Carolina. There she embarked on her nursing journey, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2006, and then working on the Pediatric Cardiology and Pulmonary immediate-care floor at Duke Children’s Hospital, and the Bone Marrow Transplant Outpatient Clinic at Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center.
Alice was inspired to continue her nursing education while on a medical mission trip to Zacapa, Guatemala, in March 2008. She found her passion in conversing, teaching, and addressing the people’s medical needs. As a result, she received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Duke University in 2009. Alice is Board Certified by the National Certification Board of Registered Nurse Practitioners.
She is currently a NAPNAP member, enjoys working with and educating patients and parents in the primary care setting, and discussing critical pediatric issues such as pediatric obesity.
As a child, Alice enjoyed watching the Muppet Show and Sesame Street, reading the Amelia Bedelia and Ramona book series, and eating her father’s delicious fried rice. While her interests have evolved to include watching UNC basketball (Go Heels!), running, and eating fro-yo (frozen yogurt) topped with mochi and strawberry slices, she still has a special place in her heart for her father's home cooking.
