Jean He, MPH, MD
Born in Morgantown, WV, Dr. Jean He grew up in many states across the country from Rhode Island to Washington State, before spending most of her childhood in her hometown of Fairfax, VA. She attended Johns Hopkins University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where she also obtained her Master's in Biomedical Science with her thesis on Long-term Neurocognitive Outcomes from Radiation Treatment of Childhood Medulloblastoma, and Master's in Public Health with her thesis on an Outcome Evaluation of the Autism Behavioral Consultation Program.
Throughout her education, Dr. He has enjoyed being a mentor in the community. She was a Big Sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and has also spent time volunteering in both elementary and high school classrooms. She knew she wanted to move back to her home community in Northern Virginia and was proud to finish her medical training at INOVA Fairfax Children's Hospital's pediatric residency. She has lectured on language and communication milestones, bilingualism, and sleep disorders of childhood. Her clinical interests include childhood development, allergies, asthma, and encouraging adolescents to take an active role in managing their own health.
Dr. He enjoys weekend dim sum, reading books at cafes, and watching soccer as a new Washington Spirit soccer fan!
