Ramzi Shaykh, MD
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Shaykh first moved to Virginia to attend the University of Virginia where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Medicine. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his residency training at New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell in New York City. Dr. Shaykh is a board certified pediatrician by the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the medical staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital and Inova Alexandria Hospital. He also serves on the board for Faraja Primary School, a school for children with disabilities in Sanya Juu, Tanzania. Prior to joining Pediatric Associates of Alexandria, he worked at a local pediatric urgent care.
He lives with his wife and son in Del Ray, Alexandria. Some of his interests include traveling the world, hiking, scuba diving, wake-boarding, snowboarding, and playing soccer. He is a Jacksonville Jaguars Super-Fan despite a lifetime of letdown.
Dr. Shaykh is a first generation American, born to immigrants from Lebanon and Cyprus. He speaks intermediate Spanish.
